We’re Here!!
The voyage began yesterday!
Before we even boarded the ship, I slowly began to see some familiar faces. At our hotel in Fort Lauderdale, I saw some former students. In some cases, I met their children. For me, that means teaching inter-generationaly. How cool is that!
After boarding, before the ship even leaves port (those of you familiar with cruising) we had a lifeboat drill. Every passenger must report to their muster stations. Being as our group of cabins are together,
I was standing next to a group of women, one with a YogaJongg bracelet, I introduced myself. This was a group of three,
2 ladies from New York and one from Arizona! So excited for the journey to begin, we immediately started talking Mah Jongg!
Last night our group had a cocktail reception then dinner together.
The mingling was great! Meeting everyone including the Yoga instructor Meredith.
The big debate was…Yoga at 7:30 or 8:00 AM. She was interested in everyone’s ability level
As was I. She assured them it’s all about the breathing and stretching. When it was my turn to
Introduce myself, I said our goal was much the same to continue breathing but stretch the mind!
As usual, I emphasized no note taking would be necessary in class, because I email notes.
Even though, I have a curriculum set for Strategy, I assured the group, regardless of level of play,
We would touch on any aspects of their game they wished to improve.
I have pictures, just having difficulty publishing them with slow internet aboard ship.
Will try to get them posted as well…..sorry!
